President

Victoria (Tori) Gordon

You want a VICTORIOUS year? Vote Victoria Gordon for '24-25 SBO President!!!

I'm running for SBO because I care about the growth of Cottonwood and the people in it. Getting to serve in Student Government my sophomore year, I got a lot of good insight on how this school runs and what could potentially be improved. While in office, I will work to build excitement and inclusivity for all students in both after-school activities and in daily classes. I have served in multiple leadership positions in the past and always focus on personal improvement; I feel that those both help demonstrate my strive to bring positive change to Cottonwood. I'd like to represent CHS by showcasing that we not only have inspiring students who work to understand others and show kindness to all people, but also have a very talented student body with skills that deserve to be commemorated.

Vice-President

Terrence Kalimasi

Live Your Flow, Live and Learn, and Live United

I ran for Vice President because I know that will be a fun experience that will teach me a lot about communication and leadership. I hope to be able to have an appropriate amount of influence in the decision-making when it comes to future assemblies, activities, dances, sports games, and many others. I also hope that I can assist the President in whatever they plan to do and that we can work together for future events. The qualities that I can bring to the table include an unwavering work ethic, socializing/consulting, communication, self-improvement, optimism, and a fun personality to get the school enthusiastic, hyped, and excited to be here. I hope to be a positive role model to all students of all kinds of backgrounds. I hope that people aren’t afraid to talk to me and that I can get to know more students in the school. I hope that I can represent Cottonwood as a school that can be a fun, diverse, and educational place where people can work hard, have fun, create bonds, lift each other up, and create memories that can last a lifetime.

Historian

Addison Condie

Sunshine all the time with Addison as Historian

Hi! I’m running for SBO historian to help document an AWESOME year next year! I hope to integrate all groups in videos and pictures. I’ve been in student government for two years and worked on videos for assemblies!

Chelsey Weaver

Let's Score A Great Year!!

I am running for office because I want to help make the 2024-25 school year fun and help bring people to want to come participate at school events. I qualify to be an SBO because I know how to work with a team and also make sure everyone is involved. I'll be able to represent Cottonwood by showing support for the sports and other clubs, whilst helping hype up the dances and events that Cottonwood does.

G.O. Atencio

PICTURE A YEAR YOU'LL LOVE, VOTE G.O.

My desire to make a bigger name out of Cottonwood High School is what motivates me to capture all those moments and pursue the role of SBO Historian. I want to show not only the school, but other communities, how united Cottonwood can be. I want Cottonwood students and staff to get the recognition they deserve and to capture every special moment I can, and with my experiences in social media, video editing, and extroversion, I truly believe I can make it happen. I wish to bring the student section together so that our sports teams feel supported. I will get the arts and music department recognized for the amount of effort they put into what they do. My goal is to get as much engagement in all activities as I can get.

Communications

Dylan Henry

Talk Is Cheap, Action Speaks, Vote Dylan Henry for Communication

I am running not for myself, but for the people of Cottonwood. I hope with my skills and creative abilities to improve this school for the better.

Gavin Lauber

Clear Communication, Strong Community!

I am running for SBO because I want to make a difference, I think the social media aspect of the communications position is really cool and well utilized. I really want to take it to the next level. I really hope to connect the entire student body and get everyone involved, even the people who may prefer to not. I want to utilize communications to build a strong, unified school community. I believe I am qualified for the position because I have previously held office at my middle school. I was the SBO president and I organized and lead several school activities. I am really excited to potentially be our next communications officer!

JJ Nguyen

Today's the day to VOTE FOR JJ!

With the amazing people that are in this school, all the activites and classrooms are not done without you! Inclusivity and diversity is important to maintaining a great environment for everyone, especially as we go to this building 5 days a week. I have volunteered for many drives and enjoy helping out greatly, and I work great in a team as I have been in Music Committee (officer for the music department) this year, so the leadership ideas are already in place! I'd love to help the school with my abilities--specifically improve the experience of being at school and make your time at the school memorable :)! It is an amazing privilege to have the opportunity to have what we have in school, so why not make the most out of it?!

Artist

Christina Paluzzi

Don't Be Clueless Vote Christina Paluzzi for SBO Artist

The reason I'm running for office is I have been a student leader for the past three years and I want to continue with a bigger role so I can do more for the students and the school. What I would like to achieve in the office is being able to spread information around the school with posters as well as have the students pick what they would like to see on the big posters that we hang up at dances. The qualifications I provide to be an SBO are that I'm very reliable and motivated to get things done. I am also very organized with my work and time. I'm very creative with my work whether that's from my notes for class or making posters. How I plan to represent CHS in a positive way is to make posters that have a positive impact with cottonwood colors and inspiring students with colt pride.

Raquel Cabral

Evolve your halls

I'll make Cottonwood the school with the best-looking halls! :)

I’m running for office because I want to create experiences that the students of Cottonwood can remember, and with my particular skill set which is more on the arts and crafts side obviously that means creating posters and other awesome things to help increase the attendance to our assemblies, dances, and events. I want people to feel comfortable to come up to me in the halls and ask for more info on the events that the Student Body is creating. I want us to be the school with THE COOLEST looking events.

ASC (x2)

Caleb Loveless-Delamora

LET ME TACKLE THIS YEAR AS YOUR ASC VOTE CALEB

Hi! My name is Caleb Loveless Delamora and I will be running for SBO ASC. I love the Cottonwood community and I would like to be more apart of it. While being an SBO, I would like to help the community and get Cottonwood involved in a lot more. I hope to achieve bringing the Cottonwood community more together. I would like to host more activities for the school so everyone can be involved.

Peter Maughan

Vote for Peter, he's the Maughan

I am running for ASC because I want to have the responsibility over the stampede club to lead it. I hope to be able to encourage more people to join the club while also having the club attend more events, including the non-sporting events. I have been a part of stampede club for multiple years, so I know what I'm doing regarding the stampede events. I plan to represent CHS by being a respectful and kind person, but making sure that the students are having fun as well.

Secretary of Student Affairs (Teacher Vote)

Carley Stephens

The Year Will be FRESH with Carley as secretary of student affairs

I want to run for SBO to diversify our student leadership and bring a new perspective to our student leaders! I hope to get student feedback from our activities to tailor future activities to them. I've been in student government for 3 years now, and I understand how to relate to all my peers(plus I'm a straight-A student). I want to represent CHS in new fun ways such as a new SBO Q&A where they take over the Instagram and students answer questions!

taryn Finlinson

If you want a twisted good year, then you need a rocking secretary! Vote Taryn Finlinson to have your voice heard, your ideas implemented, and create an engaging and exciting year!

Cottonwood has a great community, but I want to make it even better. I want to make sure every club, team, group, and sport feels a part of Cottonwood and feels seen. I want to make Cottonwood is the school that everyone knows as the most connected and community oriented.
